Why Is HVAC and Water Heater Repair So Complex?
The acronym HVAC stands for heating, ventilation, and air conditioners that are appliances that are often bulky and unattractive, and architects design buildings to purposefully hide these less than aesthetically pleasing but necessary creature comforts. When a heating source, vents, or water heater repair is necessary, the job becomes invasive and can impact your daily routine depending on the nature of the repair.
Inside you will find the evaporator coil, furnace, thermostats, compressor, and ventilation shafts which carry the hot or cold airflow. The water heater tends to be the most accessible unit because it is the appliance that requires the most maintenance and review. HVAC appliances that are outside include the condenser and cooling fins. Coolant lines carry the coolant around the airflow system. There are many working parts to each of these components, and all potentially could go wrong.
Customer Reviews for Metro Plumbing and Air
“We moved to Chattanooga, TN in 1991, and during the second winter, we lived here the hot water heater made a reverberating thump that announced its death. We called around and finally found Metro Plumbing and Air who agreed to come and give us a free estimate of what it would take to fix the unit and back then that was rare. Each of the companies I’d called for charged between $20 to $50 just to look at the problem and even then, they wouldn’t be able to fix it right away.
I was at my wit’s end with trying to get the water heater fixed until a nice lady answered the phone at Metro Plumbing and Air. I called first thing in the morning and by 1 pm a smiling technician was at my house asking to see the water heater.
Unfortunately, the water heater repair would have been a waste. The technician estimated that the water heater was over 20 years old and a water heater repair was pointless. He did help us pick a new unit that was more environmentally friendly (even back then!) and would save us money and water. It took an afternoon to get the whole installation completed. The technician cleaned up after himself!
We have never called another plumber or HVAC company since 1991. For 20 years we have been dedicated customers to Metro Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning to fix any of our home’s essential appliances.
In fact, this year we had to replace the first water heater that Metro installed for us. We are semi-annual subscribers for their HVAC and water heater checks (my wife did a little research and found out that the brand we bought 20 years ago had an average life span of 14 years)!
We got an extra six years out of an appliance due to the affordability and due diligence of the Metro Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning team. If you are having issues with any HVAC appliance do not hesitate to call this company because it is the very best in Chattanooga!”
